SEV 2025 – Balance awareness week

For the third time, In-Vest team organised the Vertigo and Balance day at the University of Toulouse.

During the whole day, students and staff participated to the balance tests and quizz, to the snapshot contest with Fiona the flamingo, the mascot of the SEV.

In the evening after shivering for 2 hours on the cable stretched between the 2 twin towers with the picure The Walk (2015), we seem to have achieved the perfect balance, or imbalance (!) in the exchanges with the attendance between fundamental research, clinical, investment of patients, and rehabilitation, plus this year the side step (risky when moving on a wire): the lighting of a champion of balance: Thomas the circus artist whose experience fueled the discussion.

This was supported by the Faculty of Science and Engineering, the Pole Culture of the Communication department of the university of Toulouse: a great collective happening for the cause of vertigo

See you next year!

In-Vest at GDR Vision – Rennes 2026

On January 29-30th, 2026, we attended to the annual forum of GDR Vision that gathers the French Vision Science community, in Rennes. Alba presented a poster about results from the oculomotor study of her thesis, describing vertical eye movements induced by antero-posterior GVS.
