On September 23 and 24, the annual congress of the GDR Vertige took place. The symposium gathered 150 participants from the different professional components of the ONV community. It was an opportunity for several members of the InVest project to meet and for Alexandra Séverac Cauquil, coordinator of the project, to give an oral presentation entitled “Visuo-vestibular neurophysiology and vision induced motion sickness”.
The 2022 edition of the GDR Vertige Symposium was dedicated to the theme of motion sickness. For several decades, the rehabilitation of vestibular functions has been based on the discoveries of fundamental and clinical research on the mechanisms that promote vestibular compensation. These mechanisms include both actions to promote sensory and behavioral substitutions, pharmacological management, and psychological management of patients.
